Center for Functional MRI In the Department of Radiology

Message from the Director

Welcome to the UCSD Center for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, a core research resource for the San Diego scientific community.  Since opening in 2002, the Center has facilitated numerous scientific projects that have advanced our understanding in a wide range of areas, such as Alzheimer’s disease, brain connectivity, decision-making, memory, and schizophrenia.   We are dedicated to providing the San Diego research community with the highest quality MRI resources. The Center has two state-of-the-art 3T whole body MR systems: GE MR750 and Siemens Magnetom Prisma. We also have one 7T Bruker Neo Console scanner.  Our talented and experienced staff offer a full range of support for MRI research applications and are working hard to ensure that the community has ready access to cutting edge imaging technologies.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our MRI resources and the fascinating projects being conducted here. This is a very exciting time to be involved in all areas of MRI research, and I hope that you will join us in this endeavor.
