ISMRM
The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) is a nonprofit scientific association. Its mission is to promote communication, research, development, and applications, and the availability of information on magnetic resonance in medicine and biology and other related topics internationally, to develop and provide channels and facilities for continuing education and communication in the field, to publish and assist in the publishing of journals and other publications in the field. Its multidisciplinary membership of over 6,000 consists of clinicians, physicists, engineers, biochemists, and technologists.
Each year faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and students from the CFMRI attend the annual meeting of the ISMRM. In 2010, Dr. Buxton was named a fellow of the ISMRM at the organization's 18th Scientific Meeting and Exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2015, Dr. Eric Wong was named as a fellow at the 23rd meeting in Toronto, Canada. The ISMRM fellow grade recognizes significant contributions to the society in fulfilling its scientific and educational mission. Fellows represent less than five percent of ISMRM membership.
